What I did on my summer vacation...

Hard to believe it's been a year since I moved to Portland. The time went by so fast. And so much changed in my life! Just take a look at the past few months travels...

July trip to New Mexico & southern Colorado to meet James' family

It's a long trip from sea-level Portland to the mile-high-plus Colorado plateau

Lots of family to meet

And places to see

In August, we met the rest of Karen's family in San Diego for a "beach" vacation and some wedding prep work.

And the capper of them all, although I guess technically summer was over by then, on October 1st, James and I were married on Mission Beach in San Diego.

More photos and the full ceremony text to come, once we receive the photos from the photographer (these are all "snapshots.").

Karen, this is my first glance at your website and I am in tears! I love the way you have shared your feelings and life in this format. You are truely talented and I am grateful to have read the little that I read. I cried when I saw your wedding pictures. I have known you since early high school. I was the first (or second) to get married. And now I look at your life and feel so much joy and happiness for you after so much pain. You are so deserving of this. I am now a divorced mother of two. I have had my happiness and now I have the pain. Funny how things change, just like you said. But I am finding my happiness again. And am interested in sharing my life like you do on this website....any tips? Love, Laurie
